Wanna know what it's about? I'll tell you!-

It's filmed in Bosnia, stars Monica Belluci, it appears to be about the Bosnian war and therein lies a tragic love story. Unlike his other films, Emir will be STARRING in this one as the lead character. I'm personally excited, as I've been tracking Emir's progress since his last proper film. He's been up to a lot, including his ironic theme park (seriously, look that up, it's incredible), and I think he's grown steadily as a voice, as a force to be reckoned with. This film looks like it's going to be very personal. It's set in three parts, revolving around different centerpieces (Snake, love, monks).
I'm really excited to see what he comes up with. I only posted this because there seems to be such a lack of interest here, but I know that's cause you're all so lazy, you do actually care!

I'm also waiting for this film. I've admired Kusturica's works for years, but his last feature (Promise me this) was such a huge disappointmont. I wonder if he really directed it... Why din'd he direct anything substential since almost ten years...? His theme park(s) rock concerts, strange political statements and aborted "projects" are not what I hope from his talent.

I hope that On the milky way will be a real come back to serious things.

That's his business, mate. People grow in their own ways. Just because he's made some of the best films of all time doesn't mean he wants to do it all the time. He seems like a person that has a lot of grounding in the real world, the theme park, rock concerts, strange political statements and aborted projects are all a part of his basis in reality. Why should he make films all the time? PACING, mate. He's pacing himself. And also, he has made films, technically. Documentaries are part of his film canon, he's like the serbian Werner Herzog, this man can do what he wants without criticism as far as I'm concerned. WE still have Black Cat/ White Cat and Underground, Arizona Dream and Time Of The Gypsies... Let him take as long as he wants till his next film, ten years or even twenty years, you shouldn't care.

Kusturica is a hack and overrated beyond belief, his every movie is the same, filled with attrocious characters that are supposed to be charming and political ideology.

Maybe Cannes. Last I heard, they are supposed to finish shooting this September. But with Kusturica you never know.

Shooting finished last month. Premiere is supposed to be in Cannes.

The reviews are in and I'm looking forward to this. I'm not sure how convincing Kustu will be as the main character for the first time. But I guess if his main love interest is Monica then I can see why he did it ;) jokes aside, I think he should have cast someone else.
