More development to female characters

The comedy is nice.
You know is a french comedy, you can laugh but never lost the elegance.

It had been interesting more development to the female character.
I know, there are 10 principal charater also the african family, but except the super sensible dauhgter the other 3 sisters are only beautiful girls....and.... (?).
It had been nice to show 4 diffentes characters with some justification of why each one chose their multiracial husbands.

The women were mostly just there to dispense tears and scorn.

The primal focus was the leading uptight and conservative couple, their ethnic son-in-laws and the African father, and it's a miracle that the film managed to handle all these different personalities without falling into caricature, the daughters were just "foils", no disrespect meant.

It's a screwball comedy, not a character study (and it manages to be a character study nonetheless), the point is to focus on the process of overcoming the personal ethnic prejudices, the daughters didn't have that problem, this is why they were the least interesting characters of the film.

I agree, but I insist wiht only a few lines you can define who are the girls.
For me is a weak point of this funny movie.
