How could this movie be rejected by American and British distributors?

I'm Mexican and I enjoyed this movie; I actually think it has a Hollywood vibe to it, I could totally envision it as an American movie. Christian Clavier reminded me of Robert de Niro at Meet the Fockers. The jokes were light for my taste. The ending was predictable (I was disappointed that the daughter called off the wedding; I hoped she would be stronger and elope with her fiancée).

What do you think of this movie? Did you get to see it on your country's cinemas?

Wow, this is so weird! This "politically incorrect" thing is just ridiculous.
I watched this film at the French Film Festival in Brazil. Everybody at the movies laughed out loud, all the time. My mom and I loved it, and it was praised by everybody who was in the session, and also many people online.
I also think it could be a Hollywood movie, considering that there are also problems with racism in the US. I can envision an American version with Jewish, Muslim, Chinese / Latino and Black sons-in-law.

Yes, that's bollocks. Tou might wonder if they actually watch the movie before making such statement. Or maybe it did not fit their own stereotyping of French culture ?

Because of the very stupidity embodied in the concept of "political correctness". I do sincerely hope that future generations will remember it as such, one of the stupidest things human minds could conceive...

Political correctness is so insidious and harmful. This is very stupid.

It's FSK 0 in Germany, meaning age 0+ (it's not a children movie though, too boring for children).
Movie was amusing and I thought it was typical French. Didn't see a Hollywood vibe to it.
But it'd work in any other country too of course.

Don't know why the Brits, of all, would reject this movie.
If the movie shows something then that people with different cultural background have difficulties (no *beep* but can get along. Also since it's comedy the distributors are retards and are actually discriminating ;D
Oh the irony.
