Laugh track

Hopefully it isn't as annoying as most of them. I'll give a watch tonight, not expecting much.

Terrible in every respect, including the awful laugh track.

Yep. At first I thought the laughter was coming from the audience at the gig -- the song was sorta funny. But when Robinson went over to the bar to talk to that woman and the laughter continued, I turned it off. I just can't do it.

Funny.... i turned it a off at the same time as Gearhart, omg... i was thinking the show had some potential.. it doesnt.. and I think I'm done with the standard sitcom... i think that people are passed the point of laugh tracks in shows... like with funny shows like arrested development and always sunny...etc, we've evolved passed where you need to be encouraged to laugh by the director...

my 2 cents

lol...me too. I asked my gf if I heard it correctly. It being the laugh track. I told her I'm not gonna watch a 2015 show with a laugh track in it haha.

You've evolved PAST it and yet you can't even spell PAST correctly.

Literally every great comedy series prior to 2005 contained a laugh track or live studio audience. This idea that it somehow makes a TV comedy worse to have one (or better because it doesn't have one) either shows you to be someone who is very young or who simply loves to parrot the standard opinion of the day.

This show is not good because the writing is stale, the plot a complete cliche rehash of numerous other school-based sitcoms and the secondary characters are terrible.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Arrested Development, Sunny, Parks & Rec and many other shows without a laugh track, but those shows still aren't as good as Seinfeld, Newsradio or even Lucy, all of which had laugh tracks.

I typically denounce people who say any multi-cam sitcom has a laugh track, because it is typically a live audience (however juiced up the laughter may be), but I think this one is just a straight up laugh track, which is really odd.

reply

It's not really that odd. People probably aren't laughing at the "jokes" so they have to add it in.
