Just looking at the U.S. politics, we have billionaires running the nation, however they are not the best or the brightest, they are the moochers that just want to take from the rich to make themselves richer.

Don't want to turn this into a huge political argument, but Trump became rich by exploiting the system and suing companies for pointing out that he is a showman / con artist and not a brilliant businessman. Same could be said for most of his cabinet picks.

That sort of goes along exactly with Ayn Rand's philosophy. The schemers use / pass laws that push their own agenda and profit off of the actual doers.
