Refreshing.

Whilst there is an abundance of mediocre "found footage" films now a'days, I think this one was really interesting. I did find myself being reminded of AVP, (probably just the pyramid/booby traps) but it didn't take away from the overall originality of the plot. There were a few moments that I found my heart racing, and one spot when I had an actual scare (rare for me). I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't all jostling cameras and blurry shots. Although, seeing Anubis so clearly during the end made him less scary, I liked the clarity. Overall, this movie was worth the watch and has opened my mind to future endeavors in this sub-genre. If there's a sequel, I'll be eager to watch it. 7/10 in my book.
