Alex Garland + that plot description? Say no more! Give that man ALL THE MONEY. He has such a proven track record and continues to push the limits of sci-fi in the coolest, most intellectual ways. I already can't wait!

shareI'm willing to agree, after all I loved Ex Machina and most of whats he's written. However, he's only directed ONE movie, and a small movie at that. A conversational movie with only three characters does not a mega blockbuster make. I'm sure it'll be fine, but lets wait and see first.

shareYou can also read the "Southern reach trilogy" by Jeff Vandermeer beforehand. That's the original material on which this movie is based on. Hard to say, how close they stay to it, but it sure enough suits Garland's other works pretty well. I'm very curious because the "situation" in the books is so complex and revealed in so many different and difficult ways - as well as not FULLY revealed, leaving a lot to your imagination - that I'm also curious about how he wants to adapt all that. The closer, the more difficult.
