Better than most of this kind of thing

It was reasonably well-performed and paced. The story is kept very simple. The effects are not ambitious but look fine. Nothing stands out as stupid or cheap. It's just that so much is left undeveloped and/or unexplained. There's more buildup than payoff and ultimately it seems to lack focus. Not a total waste of time, mildly entertaining.
