Tell me who then do you think else should be nominated. Off the top of my head I can only think of Michael B Jordan that gave a great preformance. Don't make this about race, make it about talent. Most of the nominees deserve their recognition.
bale was sleepwalking in american, hustle that nom belongs to.. mads mikelsen the hunt or michael b Jordan fruitvale station or dennis quaid AT ANY PRICE
jennifer Lawrence doesn't deserve a nom for 'american hustle' octavia spencer fruitvale station and margot robbie wolf-wall-street were both superior
hill was poor in wolf, wall, street that nom should have gone to ben foster aint-them-bodies-saints or will forte for 'nebraska'
I wished there was more diversity in Latinos and Asian or Arabic's not black racial movies even though 12 years a slave was a movie everyone should watch.
Like Argo last year where Ben Affleck played a Mexican there isn't any Latino roles and when there are white people play them.
3 people out of 20 is 15 percent. The black population of America is 12.5 percent. You wouldn't feel too bad if I officially brand you a goddamn idiot would you? And I'm not even talking about your erroneous assumption that everything has to represent a perfect pie chart of america. Do you go on the NBA boards and complain about the lack of white people in the NBA as well? you stupid politically correct sheep.
Tell me then about Alfonso Curon (I think thats the spelling) and what about when Javier Bardem won for NCfOM, or when Life of Pi dominated, or how about Slumdog Millionaire.
Javier Bardem is Spanish. Spaniards are white. Life of Pi, 1 film out of 10, nominated for Best Picture last year. Not exactly groundbreaking in terms of diversity in Hollywood.
The only way to a person's heart is through their chest.
You're an idiot if you think forcing nominations in for the sake of diversity is the right way to go. Not everything has to be a perfect pie chart of the United States. Stop bitching.
I agree that life is not a perfect pie chart. Does the OP want to incorporate Affirmative Action at the Oscars? What about the Grammys? Most of the noms there are black, and I don't go around posting about diversity. Please. Talent is color blind. I don't need The Village People represented in each category.

the sad part is that from the nominees they mentioned on this post, 15% were black,i think that overcompensates even when looking the overall USA percentage
This is America, and caucasians are the MAJORITY here. There were a other races there. The president of the Academy, that Ellen said could fire her at any time, was black. Lots of the award categories had multiple races and ethnic origins. But white is the predominant race in America. Deal with it.

I agreeā¦Im tired of all this. I saw a lot of black people there and a lot of non americans won awards as well. If there was a popular movie that had another race besides black or white that they thought should have been nominated I would like to know.
