Cate Blanchett and her speech

I thought Cate's acceptance speech was really classy, but apparently there's a lot of ire over the fact that she dared to even mention Woody Allen's name: https://medium.com/24-frames-per-second/31d4bb05c62b

Are people really getting that upset that she thanked the guy who wrote the film that won her the award? I know Allen's personal life has pretty much blown up, but he's still responsible for getting Blanchett to that stage, where she made a beautiful speech that was, for the most part, not about him.

I loved her speech as well. Look, she knows Woody and is allowed to speak about him. Just because he's accused of something AND NOT EVEN IN A COURT OF LAW there shouldn't be all this shame surrounding him.

Innocent until proven guilty should mean something in this country.

He married his wife's adopted daughter; his stepdaughter. Does a court of law need to decide on that? If it had been Ms. Blanchett;s daughter she would not have worked with him much less thanked him publicly. Please. Just says she would do anything to get a part to further her career along with anyone else that continues to work with and glorify him.
