When Will People Have Finally Had Enough?

Looking at this film's message board has been rather dismaying. That is the idea; the entire impetus behind the obvious disinformation going on here is to sap people's energy and anger at what is happening, by - as they say in the film - creating a debate where this isn't one.

How long will people continue to believe in a system that doesn't work for them? How long will they continue to appeal to that system, the very same system that is oppressing them? When your water has been tainted and your home and your town are left uninhabitable, why in the world would you appeal to the very same system that produced those conditions for their own greed? There is no justice to be had there.

Disinformation? I urge you, go out and learn the basics about Geology and Petrophysics, then come back here and tell us who is telling the truth. I have a degree in Petroleum Engineering, and I cannot believe people can get away with publishing this stuff and calling it a "documentary", it is blatantly clear that the director has no clue what he is talking about.

Agreed.
The fracking interests are much better organized and are spending lots of money to promote disinformation. The average citizen doesn't pay much attention until it's too late -- that is, until the point at which his or her own drinking water and property values have been directly affected, when he or she has already lost.

The Hebrew story of Noah's ark was mentioned in the film. That tale was first recorded thousands of years ago, and possibly had been told by word of mouth for eons before that, yet in a way is still relevant today. This is humanity's Noah's ark moment. It seems it is in our nature to ignore warnings until it is too late to save ourselves.
