I don't think that is a plot hole. This movie was about satanic ritualism...which is nonfiction...so why would it matter if she gets caught for murdering anyone?
On the other hand, it never says that she becomes famous. We inferred that she became famous, so we could easily infer that she got arrested for murdering! You could be right! It never said there weren't any consequences...someone else in this post said she could have gotten famous FOR the murders...it really could go either way. It was probably ended that way on purpose, so we could come up with our own ideas.
