A glorification of selling your soul and devil worship

So you would think this movie would be some sort of cautionary tale to young starlets - to be wary of selling your soul or giving in to the dark powers of Hollywood. But no, there is no moral to this story. If you sell your sell to the Illuminati who run Hollywood, then you too will be rewarded with fame and riches.

This could have been a much more interesting movie if the transformation happened early in the film, and for the remainder we see how selling your soul is just a deception and a downward spiral. But instead we are forced to waste our time drudging through the entire film, just to reach an obvious conclusion... she sells her soul and gets the part.

But then what??

We are left to believe that selling her soul wasn't such a negative thing. She is reborn as a much more powerful creature who is guaranteed a career in Hollywood. She sucks the souls of her loser roommates and emerges as a goddess.

So the message of the film seems to be: You - the aspiring actor in Hollywood, can either work at Hooters, hang with losers who live in their van, and hope to get parts in Indie films that no one will ever see. OR - get involved with the illuminati, sell your soul and inherit life's great pleasures.

On the surface, this film is disguised as just another B horror film. But in reality, it's another calling card for the desperate.

Someone on this board asked the question, "who are these filmmakers and how do they know so much about Satanism?"

Answer: It's pretty obvious who sponsored this film.

I disagree somewhat. It doesn't look to me like a reward. It depends on your soul how you receive it :))

*beep* off with your morals.

I agree, I'm so sad seeing people actually selling their actual souls to the actual devil all the time. It must be stopped!

Although I found this movie pretty disappointing - gave it 4 out of 10 - the devilishly triumphant ending is one of the few interesting aspects of it. The reverse story of ego-driven person selling soul then getting deserved punishment is old and cliche. Been around since Paradise Lost and Doctor Faustus. The sad thing is that ending is simply the truth. Hollywood, corporations, politics mostly run by "evil" people who thrive off hurting others. They may sacrifice a little suffering in the beginning, but to get to the top they have to prey on others. There is a moral: you have to be willing to go through hell and put others through hell to be famous. Could have been interesting allegory but bland characters, predictable dialogue, and incoherent storytelling made it fail.

Answer: The price of fame involves many hidden costs, none more demanding than that involving the soul.🐭

How the hell does this "glorify" selling your soul, either literally or figuratively? First, this hot girl blows some old goat. Then she gets violently ill. Then she murders a bunch of her alleged friends. Then she loses all her hair and turns into some alien bug creature. I mean, yeah, she's pretty sexy, but she was to begin with when she was working at Hooters.

The movie doesn't even show her enjoying her fame. It just shows her becoming a terrible, hollow person.

Glorify? How? She got deathly ill and vomited maggots. She had to kill her friends to stay alive which cemented her eternal damnation.
