I preferred THOTD myself, but this was a solid little film. Both had lackluster endings I felt, but Starry Eyes was slightly worse in that regard for me. Which one did you enjoy more?

shareThe House of the Devil (2009)was my favorite horror to open with during the Halloween season, but after seeing Starry Eyes (2014), it knocked THOTD right out of that spot! I felt a little more uncomfortable watching Starry Eyes, and even found myself wincing and cringing with fascination and disbelief. Although I rated both films 7/10, I prefer Starry Eyes overall.
