so what's your opinion about episode 1 of season 2?

As a fan of original show and even the season 1 of this Indian adaption, I've got to say that the beginning of season 2, wasn't what I hoped it will be. Even if they skipped one of my favorite seasons (2) and directly adapted season 3 of the original show, they made certain other decisions which I'm not a big fan of.

This episode lacked that 'what's next?' feeling and kept focusing on one liners by Anil Kapoor and trying to raise music to elevate the tension when there was clearly none. Finally, more hand to hand combats and trying to make Jai more like 'there's no one better than him' approach is not true to the source material.

However, the episode started good and ended good. The middle was just not up to the high standards set by this show since the last 16 years.

Hoepfully, more focus is given on fleshing out the characters and narrative than just making everything about Anil Kapoor.

P.S. I never liked any casting but if that girl with the glasses is supposed to be 'Chloe O'Brian' then well done, really well done. Good casting. Episode 2 will be definitely better.

Its looking good. Its fast and and quick moving. And looking at episode 2, I think the makers are combining season 2 and 3 together (spoiler alert the young girl kidnapped scenario from season 2). So some people who have complaint why season 2 wasn't adapted, might be happy to hear that. Hoping for best for the next 22 episodes!

its a straight up season 3 adaption with some elements of season 2. plus come on, without nina, u cnt hve season 2 or 3, she was the main crux of it all. damn it.

Definitely should've inclufed a Nina Myers mole character in season 1 to include the more personal element in this season. I'm honestly confused about the story. Is Jai even part of ATU at this point?
