I don't know why people have problems with this show?

Shows get remade all the time. Sometimes even in the same language (a recent example is Broadchurch/Gracepoint).

At least this one is in a different language with a different culture.

Also, the lead actor/producer in this was also in season 8 of the original show so he understands the source material. That's better that having an completely new team work on it.

So why all the hate? Is it because bollywood has a habit of remaking american movies? Because unlike all the other remakes, at least this one is an official remake. Even Kiefer Sutherland expressed interest in appearing.

I don't hate it. But I do wish it was a spin off. They wouldn't even need to be heavily tied together just happen to be set in the same world.

As a remake they likely give up any export value since its the same storylines just in another language.

People can be sick mad purists. They treat every detail of a show/film/series like religious literature. One word, one line changed and they all act betrayed. "How dare you... change ANYTHING?!? I fear progress! I fear evolution! I can't go on..."

It's a different series. Keifer isn't there. Grow up. Get over it.

Why not see it? Why not evolve? Grow up... a little... Expand your horizons...

It's a different branch of terrorist-prevention. In a different part of the world. Why not just give it a chance... ?
