Point Break (remake) meets Deaders

It's all this movie really is.. Not terrible, just not great..

Not terrible, just not great..

That'll do for the next 90 minutes or so since the movies I watch are rarely great and mostly terrible.

Spoken like a true horror fan kindred spirit. Avoid the Camp Blood series even if you are looking for background noise. 

Aside from that, movie was just as OP said. While I can't say it was original, it was on the least traveled road storyline, so that was a nice switch.

Phaha! I'm the same. I adore the horror genre, it's my go-to when I'm looking for a movie to watch.

Yet I'm so often left disappointed. Very few people can make a great horror movie.

I'm going to help my fellow brothers out:

Train to Busan - watch immediately
Shin Godzilla - watch immediately

Mute Witness 1995 - great
Bedevilled 2010 - great
Red, White & Blue 2010 - great, very disturbing
Three Extremes 2004 - very good
Frozen 2010 - very good
The Chaser 2008 - great
Storm Warning 2007 - very good, gory
Confession of Murder 2012 - very good
Resolution 2012 - very good, lower budget
Night of Something Strange 2016 - very good light comedy horror, surprised me.
Always Shine 2016 - good, mental more than physical
Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies (2016)- very enjoyable, fun

That should hold you over. These were more of the lesser known movies, but I can recommend plenty. 
