Crossword puzzle

In episode 1 Jeremy is on the train doing a crossword puzzle, Janet tells him the word for 7 down. What is the word and what is the clue? I have played it several times and cannot make it out.

I just worked out what was said. Spanner, and the clue, wrench with fixed jaws.
