Worth Seeing?
I love the original but this one just looks tired and boring. Was it any good?
sharePete's Dragon is far better than any of Disney's live action remakes as of late. Personally, I think it's going to be a classic, and people will regret not having seen it in the theatre when they had their chance.
shareI agree with Two-tailed. I saw it last week, and liked it so much, I took my elderly mother and adult daughter back to see it yesterday. It's the best movie I have seen in a long while. Just go see it. But forget it's a re-make. The two movies are very different, and this one stands perfectly on its own.
shareThis one is better than the original in my opinion. heartwarming and sweet
shareAbsolutely!
shareMy family and I thoroughly enjoyed this version way more than the original.
shareNever saw the original, but I loved this one.
shareYes! Took my youngest and we both enjoyed it. Sweet and charming (and after watching Cinema Sins for the original I was relieved to know that I wasn't the only one who didn't care the original).
shareMy Granddaughter and I watched the original yesterday and she loved it. She loved the songs, Elliot, and Helen Reddy. Last week, she saw the new version and thought it was "really good". Both are good children movies.
shareWas it any good?
Nope, it lacked any charm or personality.
The dragon was a bit player and really did nothing for the film.
The film was pretty much a mess. Where Jungle Book presented a film with real characters, Petes Dragon was paper cutouts of a character.
Waste of time and money.
If wanting illegals deported makes me a bigot - then wanting a rapist jailed makes you a sexist!
Yes. I definitely liked it.
