One of the best movies I've seen this year
Why am I seeing such bad reviews about this movie? I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought it was superb.

it's a wonderful film and another masterful stroke from the disney mob. the film tugged on the right heart strings and i think the adults got a bigger kick from it than the kids.

Why so much hate on the boards? It is expected as ALL IMDb boards and reviews are chock full of haters.

I don't understand the negativity on the IMDb boards, either. I very rarely see a film I hate as I have the sense to do a little research first. The few that I do hate aren't worth wasting my time going to the board of to post: "This sux!" or "Worst film evah!!!".

Thank you. I have gone to boards of films I really disliked and made 1 post about my feelings and why and then moved on to never return. (Mad Max is an example of a horrible movie Whose message board I visited once) But so many people camp out and continue to return over and over again to movie sites they apparently don't like. I'm with you. Why do that? Life is short.

I liked the movie too, the only thing that could have been better is if Gavin would die in the movie XD Ok, maybe that's extreme, he didn't kill the Elliot after all, but he really made all the bad things happen.
I couldn't find many plotholes in the movie, as other movies suffer from this nowadays, like I said above, what made it worse for me is wanting to kick the hell out of the bad guys.
Yes, I love animals, even the super dangerous ones, yes I do eat meat, you can blame my conscience as much as you want but I can't watch animals being abused, ever.
Really enjoyed it. Didn't watch the original or read the book so i came in with fresh eyes and really liked. Well paced, likable characters, awesome soundtrack and shot beautifully.
Maybe it's getting bad reviews from SJW's because it didn't have a token diverse cast so the the perpetually unhappy 2% of the population could feel better about their sad little lives.
I like it too. I just bought the Blu-ray today.
