Cinemasins proves that the original does not hold up well at all

Cinemasins never proves anything except on how to nitpick things that don't matter.

Exactly. Nitpicking just for the sake of nitpicking. I liked them earlier on before they really started scraping the bottom of the barrel and Jeremy began thinking he was a comedian. Plus, if it were possible, I'd punch his voice.

Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu....

One of their worst. Instead of highlighting mistakes, it's now more about the presenter's personal prejudices.

It held up well enough to give them a good foundation to build off of 39 years later!

Consider the morals and life-lessons of the original compared to the modern. Oh, yes. It's very nice: like a bunch of spiffy new row-houses built on the foundation where a mansion once stood. But in very short order the paint will start peeling, the plumbing leaking, the facades rotting. Or worse, it will just blend into the background of so many other similar products.

But that is what we post-modern consumers like, yes? Things that look good for the short-term but sort of fall apart in short order. Go back and review the original. There is so very much there the Disney Studios chose to drop that served to make this such a timeless classic they could build on almost 4 decades later. Consider what people will say about this remake . . . in 2055. Not a lot, I'll wager.

To be fair, it's good by modern standards. But like modern standards, it's built just to profit the most off the least work with little concern for lasting value and durability.

How does anyone's objective review or opinion of anything, actually "prove" anything?

It's honestly impossible to "prove" something as subjective as whether or not a piece of entertainment media can be considered "bad" or not. "Good" and "bad" are entirely subjective concepts. There are critically hailed movies that some people still consider to be hot garbage, and movies that get largely panned, that SOME folks still adore and think are great. That's the nature of tastes and opinions.
