Being a narcistic a-hole is not a disorder

You are just a narcistic a-hole. Period.

I figure you were talking to yourself in your lack of empathy?

I am a signature. Call me George.

Your mamma is trying really hard so stop with the name calling

reply

Yeah. But being this umph about it, that's more tragic.

reply

Yes it is. There is even a personality disorder that is called narcissistic personality disorder. Go figure.

reply

Thanks for posting this, it literally is a disorder.

As somebody who's lived with a schizophrenic that suffers from BPD, the way Kristen Wiig acted in the movie was spot on. Sometimes, I would come home from work and be asked "how was your day?" followed by "nevermind, I don't care anyway."

Even though you know they can't help it, you just want to scream, and sometimes there's nothing you can do until that person hits absolute rock bottom. The state of our mental health care in the US, and the stigmas that come with it, really highlight the ignorance in our society.

Having a runny nose doesn't mean you've got a cold, but if you've got a cold you're going to have a runny nose.

reply

The OP isn't going to know what that means. He's going to think you are actually taking about colds.

reply

Coming to a message board to post a dumb thing you have no clue about makes you an a-hole, so yes. You have proven they exist.

That being said, a disorder can also make you an a-hole, without choosing to be one. Seems you are choosing. Great job.

All I know is our society just keeps coming up with more diseases that are basically just excuses for people to act like *beep*

There's no such thing as consideration for others anymore, if you want to act like a jerk that's fine! We have a disease all picked out for you.

reply

Having a mental or mood disorder is not a free pass to be a jerk or treat others badly. Nor do everyone with such disorders do so. That's just stigma. Mental disorders are very real, and being diagnosed with one means that you can work on the problem to get better.

Let me fix that for you...

All I know is this completely inaccurate thing that I made up in my head.

That's better.

Btw, we keep discovering new things b/c of SCIENCE. Not b/c people are bored and making excuses for other people.

reply

It's not ALWAYS a disorder, but sometimes it is.
