Cancelled or not?

I'm not finding any news of a renewal so I'm guessing it was cancelled? Shame because I enjoyed it.

The Hub is being discontinued and being rebranded as Discovery Kids, with education programming on during primetime. I guess that's why they didn't announce anything for Spooksville, sounds like it's a victim of the business.

Prydain17 meant to say that it's being rebranded as "Discovery Family".

I, too, liked this show, and dislike that it's being discontinued so Discovery can show repeats from their other channels in primetime. Does Discovery really think shows like "Meercat Manor" and "Hillbilly Handfishing" is *really* going to bring in viewers if more popular shows and movies didn't?

Reminds me of the WB/UPN merging. Some (even good) shows got axed when the CW was formed.

That's a shame about Spooksville, though. It was a fun show.

I just looked on Wikipedia and it says that the show was not picked up for a 2nd season. Too bad. It was a quality YA show which I enjoyed as brain candy. The cast of kids was better than average, too, and got some performance award nominations.

Maybe it will get picked up elsewhere.

I'm surprised they kept haunting hour. These TV executives need to understand that nobody wants educational programming BS. Just give us a fun entertaining show, that's what people want! Stop listening to the soccer moms!

Yes, this and many other shows bit the dust when The Hub died. It was better than other networks for kids like Disney or Nick. They're shells of what they once were. Discovery Family is a joke and has the worst programming on repeat.

So upsetting...I loved this show. I tried looking for a dvd of the first season and it's only available in Pal format :/ guess I need to buy a multi region dvd player...who knows how long it will be on netflix for.

I miss the HUB network :(
