Cuba as OJ

This was the only casting decision that was hardest to accept. Everyone else looked enough like their characters and were good enough actors to pull it off. Even Travolta as Robert Shapiro seemed like a stretch at the start but over the course of the show I ended up really liking that choice. But Cuba as OJ was tough because he didn't look any where close to OJ, and wasn't physically big enough. OJ is physically very imposing, and Cuba just didn't have that.

That being said, the one scene where he absolutely nailed it, was trying on the gloves. Just the smug smiling, and little shrugs to the jury like he was saying "I dunno, these gloves just don't fit, it's crazy." was absolutely perfect.

if it was 10/15 years ago with adding a bit of make up and the right haircut they could have casted Samuel L Jackson or Denzel Washington, they would have done pretty well i think.

It's better than casting nobody to play Tawny Kitaen.

They left her out completely. She was the reason why OJ and Nicole Brown had fallen out. His affair with Tawny had led to the altercation with Nicole back in new year's eve of '89. Tawny was last photographed alongside OJ in January '92 - a month before he filed for divorce. She was actually on a list of witnesses to speak out about OJ but she was suspiciously not called to the stand.

Perhaps she had helped OJ kill Nicole and Ron Goldman. I've always found it hard to believe how the two victims, one of whom is a black belt, could not overwhelm one attacker. If Ron was attacked first, Nicole could have ran away or quickly get back into her house so as to call the police.

What has put me on this line of thought? This ---> https://popcultmaster.com/2017/11/17/fawning-over-tawny/

It was not good casting. Maybe Dwayne Johnson would had been better. But I don't see him taking on a sinister role like that at this point in his career.

Cuba just didn't have the build & the voice of The Killer (I refuse to call him by his endearing nickname anymore!!).

Travolta as Shapiro was pretty painful too- not to mention those ridiculous fake eyebrows.

The guy who played Ito,however, was an absolute dead ringer, look & voice. Along with Paulson & the guy who played Cochran, they were the closest to their real life counterparts.
