I don't know why the Goldmans' can't accept the fact that Fuhrman pleaded the fifth when asked about planting evidence IN THE MURDER CASE!!! They were in the courtroom. Fuhrman has said that he planted evidence in other cases. Somehow, and I might be wrong, but I think they might be motivated by money and look at OJ as a cash cow. The angle that his son who used cocaine so obviously he must know people involved in the drug trade has never been really explored. I always feel that Goldman was the primary target due to the area his body was found in under the tree and that Nicole, who's body was on the stairs, was not the main target.

Fuhrman is a racist scumbag, but your assessment of his testimony is completely off.

When he decided to assert his Fifth Amendment rights (or rather, when his union rep convinced him to do so), he had to commit to continually assert them. That's why Cochran only had the one follow-up question. He knew that Fuhrman could either invoke the Fifth again, or he could answer the question. If Fuhrman answered that question, then he would no longer be able to assert Fifth Amendment rights on the others, because the defense can then pursue that line of questioning.

Again, racist scumbag. But not a criminal mastermind.

Nope. What you don't understand is that the jury was not in the room as shown in the show and this was many of the "closed" hearings that Ito had ordered to establish credibility of evidence without the jury being present.

First of all any evidence collected by the police from the Simpson residence would be inadmissible to begin with because they had jumped over his wall and searched the premises without a search warrant. They said that there was "blood in the Bronco" that's why they entered "to see if Mr. Simpson was safe." So they immediately had the bronco impounded, and they knew Simpson was in Chicago unlike as shown in the movie.

Nowadays, and even then, the proper procedure would have been to contact the DA for an immediate search warrant if they saw blood in the Bronco. It would've taken less than 15 minutes to procure one as ADA's and Judges are on call on a rotational basis, just like doctors.

Once they established from Kato or the daughter that Simpson was not home they should have immediately left without searching. And if they did find evidence then they should've still waited for a search warrant, but that evidence would still be inadmissible because they had illlegaly climbed over the wall.

The amount of blood that was at the Bundy crime scene means that Simpson would've been profusely covered in blood especially if he was bleeding himself. However there were only two specks of blood in the Bronco conviniently located in eye view, which gave the detectives reasonable cause "to see if Simspom was safe." Hmmm.....is that planting of blood especially if the blood in the Bronco was later found out to be that of Nicole and Brown? Later in impound Fuhrman could add a drop of Simpson's blood. I won't answer that.
But if they felt Simpson's life was in danger they could have broken the front door and enter the premises legally.

But I don't wanna get too far off my original point:

1. All evidence entered by lead detective Fuhrman should have been and in this day would've been reclused. Not only on the basis of his fifth amendment which would've been more than enough, but because of the illegal way it was originally obtained.

2. Fuhrman taking the fifth is 100% grounds for dismissal of all evidence collected under him. Hmmm....Ito, what were you up to?

3. If Fuhrman did not take the fifth regarding the evidence, then yes maybe there would be additional questioning but most likely not. How do we know this? Because the Fuhrman tapes already stated that he had planted evidence in previous cases. Fuhrman was on the stand for 8 hrs being questioned by F. Lee Bailey. The Fuhrman tapes showed that he had lied about using the N word. Probaly around two hours of cross examination by Bailey was about the N word alone.

Hearing these tapes would've automatically caused the evidence to be reclused without even Fuhrman being called in for questioning in the closed hearing without the jury being present and a subpoena be issued without Fuhrman taking the fifth.

People don't understand that this case did in fact set a precedent for proper evidence collection and led to changes in the system. Now there has to be enough DNA for both the prosecution and the defense to have tested. In the OJ trial only the prosecution was needed to test for DNA. And proper logging of all blood samples is now ESSENTIAL otherwise the case would not even be led to a trial than in fact getting a mistrial for improper handling of blood samples. Besides, now only a cotton swab of the mouth is the only test that is the legal test for DNA so cops cannot take blood and splatter it around a crime scene. And there was no mention of the EDTA found in the blood evidence. EDTA though present in the blood, is definitely not quantifiable in the amounts of blood found in the Simpson case. It only means that the blood was taken from the samples colllected as a larger amounts of EDTA as an anticoagulant is used for blood collection.

What I'm trying to say is that, this trial was in many ways biased against Simpson. People think he had the dream team and money got him off. But the dream team had so many unfair hurdles lodged against them. Only two lines of the Fuhrman tapes were allowed to be played for the jury???

In the end, the defense was allowed to call defendants who were not on the original list, to testify against Mark Fuhrman, because the bias against the defense was getting out of hand. There were no cuts on the glove, no cuts on Simpsons body except for his finger (what, did he take off the glove to commit the murders and then put them back on?) The show accurately depicts Simpsons naked body being examined without any cuts and photos of this were taken by an independent party hired by the defense who correctly logged the dates.

Marcia and Darden and their whole office knew that the probability of planted evidence was too high and they had only two choices:

1. Run with the evidence and hope to convict and save the face of the LAPD and their own office which decided to bring this to trial.

2. Withdraw the case stating that improper collection methods were used by the LAPD, thus causing more of a maelstrom.

The DA's department were too naive and thought of the LAPD as their golden boys. This trial set a precedent for proper evidence collection techniques.

Well, I don't know what to tell you. You have some extreme misconceptions about how criminal trials work, and you're using that lack of knowledge to bolster your own opinion. It's very American of you.

I don't think anyone is trying to praise OJ. The Goldmans are shady, and the fact that the Browns don't deal with them is telling.

Not only is Fred's (3rd) wife formerly a mob wife -- Patti Glass divorced her exhusband, Marvin Glass, after he was convicted for laundering drug money, among other things-- and Ron was doing too much.

He was hustling trying to open an upscale restaurant like the one he worked in (where Nicole liked to eat), but his car had been seized due to unpaid parking tickets, he was bankrupt, selling drugs, trying to be a model and break into acting.

All of the descriptions people give of Ron make him sound like one of those con artists they always show on those Dateline mysteries.

Multiple people connected to Ron were murdered around that time, as well (Michael Nigg and Brett Cantor).

OJ is no saint, but neither were any of the other people involved in this case. The Goldmans should be grateful the media has completely ignored all of the dirt that Ron was involved in, instead of spending 20 more years trying to squeeze OJ for money.
