Done with this show....

I gave the last two episodes a fair chance, the humor is non-existent, it's just a depressing mood throughout every episode. Not sure what everyone else is enjoying about it...

"Well, isn't this place a geographical oddity! Two weeks from everywhere!"

I don't think many disagree with you. The show's ratings are in the toilet. This is going to be canceled. The episodes are also extremely short. This last one was under 19 minutes. Over a 11 minutes of commercials? That's not good.

I tuned in because I like Judy Greer. But I must say, it is really boring. Doesn't seem like a sitcom, but rather a sort of quiet drama with occasional touches of mild humor.

I've heard it referred to as a dramedy, though I'm not sure if FX refers to it that way.

I just got through watching the last episode of season 1, where they visit AJ in rehab, and I'm done too. I like the actors...I really like Jenny Slate in this (but she's not in season 2 anyway?), but it's just such a downer. I don't think the husband and wife even like each other. And I cannot even figure out how they even get by; three kids and she's a stay-at-home mom. I guess he's the manager, or at least works at, his friend's print shop; that was established very peripherally.

Maybe it's too much like real life, idk. It's not entertaining to me, though.

It's not one of those comedies with punchlines and a laugh track. The characters are going through a hard time, so it's kind of dark, but there's a dry humor that you either enjoy or don't. It's not for everyone, and that's probably why it won't make it.

Exactly.

For me, there is no one to really like, so it is hard to enjoy the show. No one has any redeeming qualities other than Shep.

Everyone else is a druggie, whiner, self-centered loser. Hard to root for any of them.

You just described why I don't like many people in real life.

I certainly wouldn't be around people I knew who were doing drugs and constantly skipping out on their families / screwing around.

And, I have a low tolerance for self-centered people as well. I've gone at it a few times with people who expect you to jump through hoops for them, but won't move an inch for you.

I live out in the country, and I've had people complain that it is such a long drive to my home - that is why they prefer to invite us to their place. I finally had enough and explained to them that it is no less distance FROM my home to theirs than it is from THEIR home to mine.

A couple of them got it; others I just don't hang out with much anymore because BS like that.

I don't know people who are on drugs, but I know too many people that are self-centered.

The show admittedly doesn't seem like it'll be getting a 3rd Season but for Judy Greer it's worth a watch. As well as the guy playing Shep, I like the guy's character he doesn't give much of a flying fรบck about his trophy wife's choices. ๎€ฆ

Paul Reiser? It's interesting how no one knows his name here, even though he's probably the most accomplished actor on the show.
