Eminem is in my top 5.. I don't think it was racial, it seems b/c all the characters are New Yorkers they believe NY rappers are the best. Only Scarface, Wale, Ice T, Em, & Kanye were not from NY. It displays the irony that his friends the most stubborn ppl in the film, feel NY is the Mecca of rap & don't have real interest in rappers from other states. The characters who are more open minded about the world included the above rappers.
shareJay Z and Kanye co produced the movie... So you know that's why they threw in Kanye into the top five mix

They're all older people. Biggie and Jay are the "newest" rappers they even acknowledge and they all started about 5 years before Em.
That's 100% it, that's why you heard them bringing up even older rappers like Ice T etc..
how that is racist is beyond me. imho M$M is not a top 5.
