Worth watching - the three leads were enjoyable

"Zombeavers" is a wacky film about...zombie beavers! It surprisingly was good, from the three female leads, to the beavers, the couple truckers, and the cheesy fx and funny dialogue. It is better than most zombie movies that take themselves too serious and end up as crud. This you can laugh along with and enjoy the craziness of it all. Three chicks, Rachel Melvin, Cortney Palm and Lexi Atkins head to a cabin for some R&R away from the boyfriends and just bond. Yes, the boys sneak in and then it becomes a little romp before the zombie beavers do their thing. Each of the women were enjoyable. The guys were there for one reason, to act stupid and want sex all the time. No, this isn't "The Walking Dead", but I honestly feel it was a pretty decent movie all and all. It was entertaining. That is all you can expect from movies. ** 1/2 out of 4 stars. If you dig zombie movies, and comedy, and sexy looking women, then put this on your rental list.

Indeed, it's quite a good movie. Surprisingly, I would say. Good script, good characters, soundtrack, director, everything !

It was pretty good. Yet it could have used some HLA, I mean the setup is a perfect excuse.

The movie was quite bad as while there are some movies that are "so bad they are good" this is NOT one of those movies. it starts off okay enough but then just gets bad as there is not much else to say. it's definitely not worth watching in my mind even though i did finish the movie. with that said i did have a small laugh maybe a couple of times or so but overall it's NOT entertaining for sure.

3/10 (failure)

One of the worst horror movies in recent memory. The director and the group of horrible actors try so hard to achieve the "so bad, it's good" effect, but in the end, their product falls into a new category that should probably be named "so bad, it's worse", which is essentially movies that fail to even make fun of themselves. I don't even understand why actual money is spent of these movies. It's basically bad actors who wouldn't do porn, having fun probably without scripts. This sub-genre died in the 90s.

What surprises me, however, is the extremely high rating. Maybe a lot of people worked on this turd (scary thought), or maybe people are gradually lowering their standards as long as crappy movies feed their escapism routine.

They weren't bad actors considering the movie. It's just that they had to say almost unspeakable lines.

but I agree on movie trying to hard to be "so bad it's good". It would work ok and be funny if it was short 30 min movie, but as full feature, it just runs out of steam quickly. It has one running gag for the entire movie. Girls were hot tho (at least one thing that movie gets right)

and I really don't like purposely made bad movies. I prefer those movies that are way too serious but end up being joke either by being rather bad (no talent, or no money) or ending up being bad because of crew inexperience.

Now, Samurai Cop, that's a great example of "so bad it's really good" because it's a horrible movie, but it takes itself very seriously, like it's part of those high quality action movies from '80s.

I concur! It's often times the unintentional ones that are hilarious. I found the overly-twitching beavers uninteresting. Rex Linn had me in stitches though, his "heifers" line had me rolling

exactly. Check out Samurai Cop if you get the chance. It's even worth seeking out DVD release, because it has Joe Bob Briggs audio commentary (one of this funniest), where he basically rips apart the movie and defends it at the same time.

I agree, the actors weren't bad at all. It's not easy to pull off such cheesy dialogue and still have it be enjoyable.

I think I would agree about the movie not working for a full-length film, but the beavers were just so damn funny. They kept me watching and made the whole movie work.

I dont understand your review. You dont watch a movie like this for high quality script. I laughed a lot during the movie, some quotes are so hilarious.

Quote: I've never seen a real live beaver before! She : Well you should go down on me more often.

Beside playing the hot looking girl lead actress, they are quite good in doing their job.

I honestly enjoyed this movie a lot and recommand it to anyone looking for this kind of movie.

You saw the title. You watched it. What were you expecting ?

This movie is far from bad, and it's not trying to be good. A middle-ground movie filled with bad dialogue and lots of practical effects. The actors did a pretty good job with what they're given. I found the movie funny but zany, delivering on it's title, and definitely worth watching.

This is definitely worth watching. Its not a, so bad its good movie, its a cheesy movie thats not pretty decent. The acting is fine, especially by the 3 sexy female leads who are actresses that have been around awhile, like Rachel Melvin and Courtney Palm.

This movie has scenes that stretch the believability factor, but it doenst get unbelievably silly till the end when its just 2 main characters left, and they sloppily wrap the Conclusion up with a couple scenes that are hard to appreciate. Especially since they try to mix a hard to swallow scene, promptly followed by a "not very funny or original" take, in the Final scene. Not surprising though for a film of this genre.

Still, fun for a lower budget "zombie" flick

If you believe they were doing anything but making fun of creature movies of the past then you missed the point of the movie. It was intentionally wacky and plays off its own charm. This movie was very solid and the payoff was awesome. An easy 7/10 from me.

They seemed to try too hard to be funny at times, but overall I still enjoyed the movie quite a bit.

Very good. But brick not hit back!

The jokes seemed to have disappeared the second half of the movie. It could have been funnier honestly. Not on the same level of Tucker and Dale.
