Kind of like George Lucas in Love, but 70 minutes longer.
I really like Funny or Die's sketches, and this venture into feature length original programming is pretty innovative in itself. As long as they don't start charging for their features, there's certainly nothing to complain about. Seems like a cheap and easy way to get stuff out there, using their wealth of talented comedians.
The running gag in the flick about no one acknowledging Steve Wozniak is funny, because I didn't even know who he was until I watched this (kind of like Eduardo Saverin to Facebook). The scene with Justin Long as Steve Jobs (who looks nothing like Jobs) interacting with the actor playing Justin Long (who looks nothing like Justin) is so bizarrely hilarious. And the Jobs vs Gates fight was pretty epic, too.
Yes, I know this movie prides itself on being factually inaccurate, but is there any truth at all to Jobs giving John Sculley 51% share of his company and his subsequent firing? Also, was Jobs' inspiration really brought on by two magical tabs of acid?
By the way, I didn't really understand why George Lucas was portrayed with white hair in the scene where he meets Jobs circa '85. If there's a joke there, I missed it.
