so, in Mumbai India rich bastards like to build skyscrapers just for them literally right next to horrible slums?

that is unbelievable, why don't the people in those slums storm those skyscrapers en masse, burn them to the ground and put those bastards' heads on pikes?

I'm not normally like this, but come on, did you SEE that place? in a situation that insane something like that would be the only sane solution

Because thats a pretty radical act that would serve no end really. They'd send in the army, kill a bunch of people, raze the slums to the ground, and most people aren't that militant.

Its a passive rot, not an active one. Mostly as long as people can keep on surviving they will. If something ever changes to actually make them die then it may change. Look at the Russian Revolution. They waited til they were literally starving before the bread riots started and ballooned into the toppling of the regime. People will tolerate a lot before finally massing. This is why revolutionary leaders are so important; they are the unifying force and if that is lacking its rare for something spontaneous to really happen en masse.
