The question might be stupid, but how do they get away with doing things (not just in this series but in other vice videos) like illegal border crossings and such stuff?
I mean, on the spot, they will get away with it, but after the episode was aired on tv, why aren´t they arrested entering Thailand the next time?

Arresting journalists is pretty bad press for a regime. Also, none of these episodes airs anytime around when they do any of these allegedly illegal things.
Worst case scenario, one of these guys has to remember never to go X country again.

If you own a drug like Aspartame which is rightfully rejected as being deadly to humans (with a laundry list of effects) you simply get Donald Rumsfeld to be your new CEO, then when Reagan takes office, your man Rummy runs the transition team that coincidentally replaces the head of the FDA (which is SUPPOSED to protect you) with a guy in favor of the drug, who soon after allows said poison to be used in all manner of food and drink!
Take your diet soda and let it sit a few days, have it tested and see if it didn't turn into formaldehyde, ummm yummy!
