Creepiest scene?...

When Deacon was watching the footage back of his early scare at the church, and after we heard him say something like "what's wrong with his eyes?", he responds with "I don't remember saying that"...

The screaming of the sheep also really farking got to me.

Any thoughts internet land?

The bit when the priest is in the church and the loud noises start, when the bloke plays a joke on deacon in the church, the dog appearing out of nowhere, and the ending was really messed up......Did you or anyone notice the grave stone, when the man with the glasses is standing and looking at it and then turns away, I'm pretty sure the date's on the grave stone changed...

yeah, the name on it changes too

reply

Yeah it had his name on it briefly.

It says Grey Parker 1974-2013, then when he looks back it's the name of the person buried there.

It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!

I watched that bit 3 times, first when eh looks at it it has a namebeginning with Samuel, he looks away, looks back and it has his name, Grey 'something' then he looks away, he looksback again and it changes to Grace 'something' now i was confused by the 'grace' name.... Because it didn't even change back to Samuel, it changed to Grace from Grey

Can anyone work out what happened there? i don't remember a Grace in the film

The torched sheep was unpleasant. Loved the bit where the hoodies taunted Deacon about it, Deacon walks over and the hoodie is all 'Yeah? Come on then!" and Deacon just decks him.

That bit was nasty. Even though they state "no animal was harmed during this film", some films make me wonder.

in the shots of the cross hanging in the church jesus' hands are nailed to it.

however, at the 52:57 mark, the left hand isn't on the cross, and is instead raised, palm up.

between the grave inscription changing and this, i wonder if there are other subtle details in the film.

"first when eh looks at it it has a namebeginning with Samuel,"

The first tombstone was different to the second one in size

the cross seems to be in a different position on the wal before it crashes

When Deacon goes to the church alone and finds the hidden door. That freaked me out as well. The most I think.

Time is a poem, the world is a verse, people are a word, I am a letter

The bit where Deacon and Grey return to the cottage at night and when they walk through the door, Mark is just standing there. I don't know why I found it so creepy- it's the thought of him standing alone in a room with the lights off for...who knows how long?!

reply

When Deacon goes to the church alone -- seeing the ghost of the dead priest, seeing the cassock with worms in it, finding the door, hearing the dead priest speak about somebody's eyes, etc.
