People seem to forget...

This show is made for kids!!! I get that it's a lot different from Teen Titans which was still for kids but a slightly older audience and that show was liked by older people, but Go! is specifically for kids 7-12. It's supposed to be goofy and silly!! If you're 30 something years old and you can't stand it, well, you're not the target audience. My young son laughs his butt off at this show, he's the demographic they're shooting for. I've seen almost every episode since my kid likes it so much and I laugh at it too. It's stupid, silly and funny with enough references for parents to enjoy too. People need to ease up on this show a little. Saying how much you hate this show because it's silly is like saying you hate Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because there's too many sing a longs in it, it's not for adults!!

The problem is not the fact that it's a show aimed at kids, it is a poorly made show for kids. Being for kids does not mean it should be poorly made. It's lazy and poorly written and has some pretty screwed up messages in it. When shows like gravity falls, adventure time, regular show, amazing world of gumball etc. are the standard for kids shows at the moment this really should not be on the air.

But it's obviously neither lazy nor particularly poorly written. It's get pretty clever a lot of times. The 'lessons' are pretty funny too, it reminds me of the old Looney Tunes cartoons.

reply

Honestly, I think its aimed more at adults than kids.

reply

It's definitely got some jokes that only adults would get, but it's on Cartoon Network early in the morning...it's for kids.

reply

So. Adult Swim is on early I the morning as well.

reply

Well considering it's called ADULT Swim, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that programming is for...adults?? They also end Adult Swim at 6am when kids start waking up and watching cartoons. The bottom line is that Teen Titans Go is a children's show, it may have DC superheroes in it that adults like but that particular show is for kids, and kids like it. Their target demographic is 7-12 year olds, not 30 year old single adult men.

I think the poster has a point because it's on Boomerang now as well.

Actually, it's the 20-somethings who were drooling over the anime Teen Titans series that seem to hate this so much. People who were too old to get hooked on the constant barrage of anime-styled shows about 10-15 years ago seem to like it just fine (I'm one of them). Kids also like it. The only reason I managed to choke down the anime series was it helped me get all the jokes in the first season that were callbacks to the anime series.

You know what noone tells you about cooking with the Dark Side? The food is really good!

Adults love it too, it is a fun light comedy that has plenty for mature audiences. Not sure how many kids watch Gilligan's island, yet they had a week long episode making fun of it. They also had an episode on 401Ks which I loved.

"Just for kids" is a stupid excuse or arguement. If you like it fine, but that is a extremely dumb excuse that should not be used to try and justify any show whatsoever

When this first came out I didn't like it at all. It just seemed like it was making fun of the original Teen Titans and that was it. Then I started watching Season 3 and 4 in 2016 and it's different, it's just random goofy stuff and there are a bunch of hidden adult jokes in it. Don't try to compare it to the original, think of it more like Powerpuff Girls.
