You make a fair point and I'll cede that to you, but in all honesty I have no axe to grind with her in the slightest so there is really no reason to NOT believe my first hand account either. To the contrary, when I was hired on to work so intimately with the stars, I was thrilled she would be one of them because I was a huge VM fan. Krasinski was a joy, always in a good mood even at ungodly hours of the cold morning, and Barrymore wasn't as warm but was as professional at all times as any professional I've ever dealt with in any field. I can understand why she gets so many roles every year regardless of her box office draw, because the woman is a worker and doesn't sweat the small stuff. Danson was this eclectic mix of young boy and polished gentleman. While all the other actors rented smaller fuel efficient vehicles on their off time, Ted got the biggest suburban the rental agency had and that man flat out drove all over the state, from Fairbanks to Homer and all points in between he had time or inclination to visit.
KB, on the other hand... where to begin? No one in the crew spoke directly to her after the first day, they spoke to her assistant. She lost her temper and threw a fit at one point because of the way chairs were arranged in a conference room where cast and crew were set to discuss the location shoots in Bush alaska (term we use for the cold interior and high northern areas where most native villages are located) and what would be involved in transport, accommodations etc. The crew had just finished getting things set up, and this was rapidly approaching 2am after a long day of shooting downtown in the cold along the port (where most of the whale in the ice shots came from) and her assistant walks in with phone in hand, takes a photo of the room, and is blasted over said phone by KB a few moments later. The assistant then proceeds to blast the crew regarding the chair arrangement until finally they relent and redo things the way she demands. Keep in mind these were all local guys, not union and therefor basically unable to tell them both where to stick it. That was one example, of many. After the first week, the crew had their favorite stars, and it's no secret that she wasn't anyone's that I was aware of.
As for your points about her posts, you're right about that, in as much as she dictates what she wants to say to her assistant in general, but that's it. I've been lucky enough to work on several non-profit projects over the years with many celebrities of one kind or another, from Casper Van Dien to Doctor Ruth, and of all of them, she struck me as the least involved with something she tried to make so much social hay out of than any of them. As you say, take all of this with a grain of sand as I am an unknown quantity and lord knows what love may be lost between her and I for whatever reason, but again, in simple honesty, I am only relaying my personal experiences and observations with no dog in the fight either way. Nothing more, nothing less.
