Veronica Mars looked so different.

I grew up with the show, per say. It was popular when I was young but I never watched it until lately. I just watched all three seasons on Amazon and then followed up with the movie. Side note...the series/movie was amazing. I've watched a lot of kristen bell over the years but seeing the series and then the movie back to back It hit me how different she looked. (I'm not talking about weight..she just had a baby and looks beyond amazing. I'm not taking about wrinkles/age..her and I are the same age) I'm aware the series was years ago. But did anyone else notice it? Her eyes maybe...I don't know I can't put my finger on it. But it was trippy seeing the series and the movie back to back for the first time.

I think she looked exactly the same in the face. She just had a little extra weight from having a baby and her face was a bit heavier. Her hair was slightly different because when the show was filmed her hairstyle was what was current at the time and appropriate for someone her age. I didn't see anything different, but everyone sees things differently. So it's possible that you're just picking up on something maybe I'm not.

After my son was born, my ex-wife's facial features appeared noticeably "softer" for quite a while, even long after she had lost the baby weight she has gained and then some. I'm not sure of it was due to hormonal effects of breast feeding or something else, but it was definitely different and not simply due to weight. She looked beautiful either way, eventually her features grew sharper as they were before, but I recall was while. I thought Kristen appeared much like that to me, it was ever so slightly odd to me because she looked totally like someone who had just had a baby on my eyes, even though the character hadn't. Still beautiful, but just noticeably different. I've seen more recent pics of her, and her features don't appear as soft anymore to me.

If you're the same age as Bell, then you were in your 20's when the show came out (I know this; I'm the same age also). The show isn't that old.

Although the cast has aged, they've eased back into their roles effortlessly. I too, have noticed quite a change in Kristen's, as Jason's appearances..

Plus seemed like Veronica's spark wasn't there any longer. Just a role that needed finishing.

I feel a little lack of spark in the first 20 minutes, but I think it was intentional because this is not the same Veronica from 10 years ago. She gave up the PI life that fed her "addiction".

I kinda feel it's not until that scene where Logan picks her up and says "you should only wear this" that Veronica as we know and love her is really back.

Anyway I think Kristen looks great as always in the movie. Except for the sorta unflattering un-Veronica like hairstyle she has in the beginning.

I think it was a combination of make-up, eyebrows, the lighting and color grading used in the film. I always thought she looked kinda weird on the cover but she does in the movie too.

Constant heavy mascara in the movie
