Will the Singing be Pre-Recorded or Sung Live (Like Les Mis was)?

If any of you guys know about what Disney are deciding to do, let me know what Predictions or Sources you can find. Because since Les Mis came out with its Live Vocals, I personally prefer that better. :)

Being an operetta, Les Mis was a special case where singing live just made more sense. BatB is a traditional musical, so there is virtually no way it will be sung live.

I don't think Les Miserables sang live nearly as much as the cast and filmmakers bragged about.I'm pretty sure it was only during songs that featured the film's highly criticized one shot extreme closeups like I dreamed a dream where you had the live set singing. Personally i think Beauty And The Beast could afford to be a bit more cinematic in terms of swooping shots and set pieces. I mean if you can make live singing work then YAY but to be realistic I think it would make things harder than it's worth. Having broadway talent like Audra McDonald and Josh Gad I think will make the singing sound authentic enough. I will just miss the songs from the stage musical like Home but i'm optimistic the new music written will make up for them. Alan Menken and Tim Rice rarely let me down.

I know what you mean. :) I think more musicals are doing the live practice now, thanks to Les Mis. I also think Alan Menken and Tim Rice are pretty cool too.

Also, I've got the Co-Producer (Jack Morrisey) to answer my question about it; Jack said that most of the Real-Life Actors sing live in the filming, but, they did record it in the studio first (In case of an Emergency). Luke's done it Live, Josh as a possibility and maybe Emma. Hopefully, Disney will do a bit of it,as it'll be better than nothing
nothing.
