My only quibble - I wish someone gave us more about the evil stepmom

I am willing to give that evil bitch the benefit of doubt with respect to the fact that Mark DeFriest honestly got on her nerves when he was young. Regardless, how can this bitch report him to the cops for taking something what he is owed, all on a technicality, esepcially when she knows he was hurting after his dad died???

I wish we could have seen if she regretted ever reporting him to the cops. is that evil woman still alive? Why hasn't her family pressured her to show up at prior parole hearings.

Also, I wasn't quite sure how the hell was his defense lawyer in the early 80s so incompetent that he got 4 years for running away with a gun out of sheer panic???
