So did he get paroled this month?

Anyone know if he's out?

reply

He was paroled 3/10/15 from his long Florida sentences, but it turns out it triggered 3 old sentences to be served totaling up to 5 years. They are all for prison contraband and are not parole eligible. At www.defriest.com and facebook.com/defriestfilm there will be updates and ways the audience can get involved. Thanks.

I understand the system backing up the rules inmates live under. If a crime is committed while incarcerated, the prisoner needs to be held responsible. They must be held accountable. This is a very different case.If Marks case was handled properly to begin with-he wouldn't of been there to commit the crimes. All so called crimes committed while incarcerated should be pardoned. Especially if they were non violent. This man needs to live a real life.

Sadly, he's in jail in Califonia as an above poster stated. He got out from Florida but had charges in California for weed, I think.

I mean, he's been in jail since what 1979??? You would have thought they'd have dropped the charges from the friggin 70's in CA due to time/statute of limitations or for the sake of decency, decided to drop them. You guys are right...he's been in prison basically doing time for something he wouldn't have done BUT for his outrageous sentence and additional charges so as far as I'm concerned HE DID HIS TIME. For all charges.

If he gets in NO trouble he should be out in 2018.

What a complete waste of taxpayer dollars. Murderers, child predators...all have done less and probably re-offended in his time. Like the Warden said "we failed Mark DeFriest." Yeah, he caused a lot of trouble but what he was getting DRs for in recent years was silly...using someone else's PIN to call his wife.

I mean, can you blame him for taking liquor and whatever else they can? There was NO hope with a release date of 2065 or whatever. A non-violent offender originally there for allegedly stealing his deceased father's tools (which he claimed were his).

I hope he can make it. Too bad he's state and not federal...maybe Obama could have pardoned him if he was. Enough is enough.

He made the jail look silly. They didn't like that!
