This is pretty great.
I wouldn't have even given the show a chance without the involvement of Bob Odenkirk. (I've been a fan of his since the Ben Stiller Show)
The first episode didn't fully convince me, but I gave it another shot and the second one hooked me.
This show is a true descendent of sketch comedy. There are no stupid host segments and stand up, it's just straight sketches.
It's like a hybrid of The State (large varied group), Mr. Show (lengthy and weighty skits), and Human Giant (through-line skits and music cues). Now, I'm not putting it in the pantheon with those great shows just yet, but it could get there.
I hope sketch moves back in the direction that The Birthday Boys are using. I hope this show sticks around.
