One of the best films to come out in a long time..

When I first saw the amazing rating this movie had here when the first people started rating it (I think it was something like 9.9 at some point) I was extremely intrigued. Now, after having watched the movie, I understand why it got such positive ratings and won the top prize at Cannes.

It was honestly the best movie I've watched in a long time; and it's the first Nuri Bilge Ceylan film I've truly enjoyed (the others were a little to slow for me)..

The great parts of this film were the amazing dialogue, how naturally this dialogue was acted out by the actors, and of course the amazing scenery and cinematography. After a while, you forget that this is a movie, and it really feels like you're watching life. But the themes around which this movie revolves, the "meanings" which it contains, are what make the film so good. It's not just great dialogue, great acting, and great cinematography. It's much more than that; it's what the film says, about life, about the kind of life each individual in the film portrays, about contemporary Turkish society, and so on, that makes this so great.

Anyhow, as insignificant as they are, such be my feelings...
