Longest dialogue ever?

One of the things I loved about this movie was the way the director actually gave himself space for dialogues.

The largest one, Aydin discussing with his sister, is 19 minutes long! The longest ever in cinema? I have no idea. It is long, but it is not slow at all. When I say the movie, it felt like a 5 minutes dialogue, at most. When I went and checked the real length, I was amazed.

Other dialogues in the movie are quite long and spacious, also.

Of course the possible "length record" is not an important issue: what I am beginning to appreciate is how that makes it possible for him to keep the dialogues more real, uncompressed, with attacks and counter-attacks going back and forth, emotions arousing and calming down, people unable to express what they mean and then finding the words... the part that silence plays, and looks, gestures, postures, places where each is seated...

Sometimes there are more than two people, and we see the way each negotiates their views with others around.

Very inspiring and, for me, novel way of using dialogues in film!

"My Dinner with Andre" - a whole film about one dialogue

Yes, that brother-sister dialogue was long indeed. I consider myself a fan of slow movies but this movie, and especially this specific dialogue, really tested my patience.
