Disney's new attack at Steven Universe?

As amazing as Gravity Falls is, Gravity Falls is: Adventure Time+Regular Show.

What is Regular Show? A bunch of 80s jokes/references revolving around characters who maintain a park/facility.

What is Adventure Time? A bunch of crazy adventures with tons of hidden back-story and revolves around our main characters growing up.

What is Gravity Falls? Tons of 80s jokes/references with kids who have to maintain a facility while there are crazy adventures with hidden back-story and the focus is on characters growing.

However, then Steven Universe came along and started becoming popular... and then coincidentally Star vs. The Forces of Evil pops-up. Not quite the same premise, but it looks like is trying really hard to hit the same audience as Steven Universe's.

Anyone's thoughts on this? To me it looks less like Disney is trying to make a good show and more like they are consistently trying to catch up with Cartoon Network.

I totally agree. I was thinking the same thing after I watched a few episodes of this show. Adventure Time and Steven Universe are so much better than anything Disney can make. They seem to lack the creative edge that Cartoon Network isn't afraid to go after. Without that Disney's knockoffs will always be a sad copy of something much more interesting and original.

No, that's not conspiracy, it is how business works. Ever notice how White House Down and Olympus Has Fallen were released so close to each other? Antz came out right before Bugs Life?

It isn't conspiracy, it is how the movie industry works. If one company makes money off of a concept then all other companies will try and jump on that bandwagon.

The same thing with Adventure Time. After Adventure Time came out, all of the animation studios (and even artists) went for a simplistic, smooth, wavy armed, show with off the wall humor, non-sequiturs, and other such jokes.

Most of them really are ESPECIALLY Steven Universe.

This is kinda like Steven Universe but they need to have the feels to be SU. Gravity Falls is great and Adventure Time really can't compare to Gravity Falls! Gravity falls gets the plots finished and Adventure time drags out their plot, losing the fan base.
