why it's S1 and E1 in the end

I have read everyone's theories of who was at the end and their supporting data to cover it. I believe the supporting data that most found was not enough to support their claim, however. For the most part, there were numerous clues as to understand the whole forcefield: who must stay versus who may leave.

When E1 was trapped until morning, he was received by S2 who explained a revelation that didn't quite sum it all up but was a clue. "That how we get out... that's how we become you... pitting you against each other is the best way to break you down and then its your turn to stay" (movie quote). She noted that only 2 people can leave, specifically, paraphrased, one real couple v one fake couple. She noted further, E2's job was not to fall in love with S1 but to split the real couple up, that way the fake couple could leave and the real couple would have to stay. You may be skeptical with this concept. Please keep reading... "the closer we get to moving on, the closer you get to not being able to" (movie quote from S2)

S2 does not love E1. Continued from aforementioned paragraph, E1 asks why S2 would help him rather than try to leave, and she stated, "Because I love him (E2)..... I would rather be trapped here, than see him leave with her." S2 and E1 had a plan to get E1 to speak with S1, while S2 delays E2.

S1 changes her attitude toward E1: after his speech, she smiles. He observes the smile and he reels her in. Notice how S1 does not leave with E2 after the fight.... now back up to....

S2's love realization with E2: While disguised as S1, she hears from E2 that he loves her (S1) and can't wait to leave with her (S1)... S2 realizes this and does not kiss him back, she sinks lower with understanding. After kissing the disguised S2, E1 sees no love returned back to him from the SOPHIA? and realizes which sophia it was.
Therefore, the whole purpose of S2 matching S1 was not to be identical at the end when E1 chose, but it was to delay E2 from splitting the real couple up again before the real husband could sway the real wife.

Did anyone else notice the tiny smirk of a grin S1 gave when looking at E1 while deciding who to go with? This was a second before E2 said, "fine... %$&R all you guys." E2 now realized he was not loved by anyone. S1 didn't go with him as previously noted, and S2 gave his the icy cold stare.

Outside on the porch: Real Sophie (on the left) asks "what happens if he can't catch him" and the reply of "I have no idea" came from Fake Sophie (on the right). It is not clearly seen at the end who is on the left and who is on the right, but the girls run 30 feet from the house, staying at each other's side, I can't fathom why they would change sides than to run straight, staying on their respective sides even until we see them again, walking towards their intended target: E1

E2 smacks into forcefield barrier because he is not loved by S2 or S1. As noted earlier, the real couple or the fake couple may leave, pending on the love interest between the real couple. It is the fake couple's goal to split the real couple's love interest apart. E2 did not expect to run into forcefield, either because he never tried to leave before, or because he failed his job to split the real couple up, even worse, failed to get S1 to love him back.

Now we come to the identical twin scene: S1 is still on the left and S2 on the right, as they were on the porch. S1 on the left appeared to have color in her face, full of love and vibrance, happy in a way... S2 on the right appeared pale and ashen, no color, dismal and sad. S2 kept an eye on her conspiring partner on the ground, no love between them, but didn't want to leave him either. She kept looking at him, but did not attempt to lower her body to nurture him either. She pretty much gave up on him. The woman on the left who smiled and kept looking at E1 cannot be S2 for these reasons. the bright, colorful appearance in the face represents love emitting towards her partner. E1 chose correctly and brought home S1.

As for the counselor and the get-away house for broken relationships? This place was not a place for bad marriages. Ted Danson disguised himself as a marriage counselor; his real intention was to get a couple ready to split sent to his testing facility to get his other (fake) test subjects ready for their match.

One thing i did notice: the placement of the forcefield on the road, to the right, the dirt dug in an arc around the property shows that the forcefield was very large around, almost circular. the invisible line could then be seen on the road where it would be had it not been to the deliberately not dug up to prevent the real couple from stopping to see the digging had it been there, before they arrived to the house. Sorry, anyway, E2's legs, somewhere cutting off higher than the knees were passed the forcefield. I believe this was a spoof in the film. His whole body was inside the forcefield when he hit it, and fell backward like a board. No reason for his feet to be on the outside of the forcefield.

In the end of the scene, while the real couple is driving away, they see the fake sophia squatted down for a closer look at the fake Ethan, but it can be observed that she doesn't touch him, only observes.

As for the other clues people seem to get distracted by such as the last quote of the film, "eggs and bacon" or the obvious reason that some would consider why S2 changed outfits to match S1, to give E1 a hard time to decide. (I really believe it was not her intention to match S1 for this reason to be decided against at the end) is only to sway the viewer's emotions into thinking that E1 ended up with S2. But if you really consider my explanations to clues that no had thought up yet or cared to note, then you would denote that both partners have changed a bit from the earlier minutes of the movie. Feel free to reply if there is a debatable question or reason.
