Unsympathetic character ***possible spoilers

I haven't seen this movie all the way through and have no idea how it ends, but Kate is the most unsympathetic character I've seen in a long time. Whether something harmful happens to Izzy or not, and I hope not, Kate irks me in the worst way. Why does anyone with her background and issues want to demand that no one ignores her premonitions. If I knew I had behaved crazy in the past, I would be smart about the things I do and have a little more control over myself. I wouldn't try any of these half-baked ides, half-assed attempts to save my daughter. I don't like her and hope Laura turns out to be a good woman so Izzy can have a likeable mother.

I know what you mean. If I had been her attorney I would have fired her as a client. She just couldn't control herself and keep herself out of trouble. I had to laugh after her ex husband was stabbed and the police went to her house and told her was the top suspect. So what does she do? She drives over to the scene of the crime, PARKS IN FRONT OF HIS HOUSE, and then acting like a spy cases the house which is teeming with police, and somehow manages to sneak past anyone to go upstairs. Just ridiculous.

Not great decisions, logically, but since she believed her daughter was at risk I believe she did what most people would have done. Without the pushing of the stepmother, which didn't accomplish anything.
I wonder if the two who posted first in this thread have children?

I never got that part either. The one where she goes to the crime scene and like you mentioned, parked her car and just sneaks in. That, to me, was an LOL moment. I know it's a movie, but c'mon
