This show is pathetic

While I realize it is in keeping with the American trend of maligning Christianity, I must voice my overwhelming disappointment. If this was a show about Muslim teens wildly thumbing their noses at conservative Muslim beliefs, Lifetime would not dare air the show, for fear of offending the Muslim community.

Christians, like members of other religions, are not perfect. Human is human, with all the failings of the species. However, by putting this particular wild-child group together, with NO contrasting personalities, Lifetime has made a mockery out of what it truly means to be a preachers kid. Most preachers kids do NOT go all-out crazy with their lifestyle. While, yes, there is rebellion, often kids can remain grounded in their faith.

Jesus died for ALL sinners, and no one ever said all Christians are perfect. Maybe learning more about what it means to be a Christian in the real world would help stop the widespread distrust of the faith.

This season is nobody's fault but the pastors. I went to a missions trip in Lazaro Cardanes and Noooo Way in hell would the Pastor let us teens stay alone. We had to have at least 1 adult person stay with us at all times. That person was responsible for our actions and were held to it.

And Omgawd the mom making Jell-O shots for the girls. If I was the pastor of her church I would dismiss her from her youth leadership for good.

I wonder....why aren't these Pastors fired? Or have they been by now? Cause I tell you, in MY archdiocese (I'm Lutherin) no way in HELL would the Pastor's Kids act like this! And if they do and are caught the Pastor is asked to step down. After all, how can they lead a Congregation if they can't control their own kids?!?!

Sooo...are ANY of these Pastors still in their Church, or have they all stepped down?

An Actual True Youth Pastor wouldn't be like, oh heck girls Twerk for Jesus it's going for a good cause, Heeeell no. And on top of it all, the "So Called" Youth Leader Mom, actually makes the Jell-O shots for them and allowed them to go sell them and states again, oh well it's going for a good cause. That Disgusts me, she's trying to be the cool mom/friend and what she should have been was a Youth Pastor First and then a Parent Second, not a Friend to her daughter and those girls. Hell even the girls knew she was a bad parent and so called leader in uth ministries. Shame Shame

About the only "good" that can come out of this show is that the girls (later) realize what fools they made of themselves and learn some lessons from the experience.

Regarding the idea of "maligning Christianity", these girls are just being themselves. If viewers want to conclude that this maligns Christianity, that is their choice. But it is bad enough that their parents and their congregations place higher expectations on these girls because of who their parents are. It serves no purpose for viewers to also do that.

And the Archdiocese will see what's going on and tell their parents (in particular their fathers) to step down! They would do that here! If my Pastor's Sin was caught doing half the things these girls do, we'd be looking for a new Pastor!
