Catholics are Christians too, right? So why are they not included somehow, even though they have celibate priests? Couldn't they have a niece or adopted teenager, or one of the other church leaders who have children on the show? Or are they so much better than other Christians? Yet another reason the Catholic sect vs Baptist vs etc etc etc, makes it so much easier to justify an atheist or agnostic worldview. How can all Christians be so different in their beliefs? I feel there is a certain reason Catholic Christians have either not been selected to be on the show or declined the opportunity. Thoughts?

True catholicism is Christianity. However it is one of many Christian denominations. They have shown one family to be pentecostal and spoken of another family who used to follow legalistic Christianity. Like you said Catholic priests are celibate but they could have an adopted niece. Sadly this show wants the crazy rebellious daughters because it makes for a good reality show and the chances of finding a priest who adopt a girl who is also the makes for an appealing reality star are extremely low. I don't believe they're against Catholics because if there was a rare combination of an adopted crazy catholic priest's daughter they'd be all over that in a heartbeat because it's an attention grabber.

True catholicism is Christianity

That's not true, it never says that in the Bible. The Bible says, "All who gather in My name." Lutherans gather in His name, so do Presbyterians! Anyone who worships Jesus is a CHRISTIAN!

I've never met a Catholic who considered himself or herself a Christian. They act like Christianity is a completely separate entity. I don't know...to me, it's like a Chinese person saying that he or she isn't Asian or a Ghanaian person saying he or she isn't black. It's weird as hell.
