Nodding

This movie would have been much better if the director had resisted the temptation to be shown in every interview nodding sagely. It made it all look a bit amateurish.
More from Nicolas Cage and a bit less of Tim Burton's and Jon Peters' babbling would also have helped.
It's noticeable how much more professional the technicians and designers are than the foulmouthed yahoos who claim to be creative. I wouldn't let Kevin Smith direct a school play.
