I like Jon, but do I need to see this?

I'm hearing mixed things. I talked to a friend about it today and he said he might want to go see it so we'll see, but I'm not sure I'm clamoring to. Your opinions (no spoilers please)?

It's well acted, well written, uplifting and tragic at the same time. I think it definitely south's be seen, especially if you care about politics, journalism and the human condition.

It accurately depicts what happens when a government is run by a group of religious zealots, so I believe every American should see it as this country is sliding down a similar path.
