Lost all trust in Jon Stewart: just another american propagandist

I don't thoroughly follow Jon Stewart but enjoy the occasional peaces that I stumbled on Internet/Social Networks, from which I got the impression that, why this is literally impossible, here was a mainstream talk speaker who wasn't biased and hypocritical enough as to do the usual propaganda like Bill Maher or any other Hollywood director would do.

What a surprise to see that Jon's first movie is another obvious peace of anti-Iranian propaganda fueling the war-mongering agenda and incidentally, the racist islamophobic agenda.

I've asked myself the question several times, how can a mainstream american journalist with that much publicity be any objective, I have my response: it doesn't exist in the US.

Did you actually see the movie? From your post, it seems not; that, or you were texting throughout and not watching the film. If and when you see the film, you'll hopefully realize how wrong your post is.

Your support of fascism, which is what Iran's current political culture is, is noted.

I can't say I'm Stewart's biggest fan. I agree with him on some things, but other times I really disagree with him and think he makes some pretty weak points. He is a talented comedian though. I watched this the other night and really enjoyed it. Not a great film, but Stewart's input on it is a big reason why it works so well. I'm honestly perfectly OK if the reason he wants to leave The Daily Show is to direct more films. Whatever he does next I'll be seeing for sure.

This movie was most certainly not propaganda. Quite a good movie, in fact. I watched it from Redbox tonight and thought it was very insightful and well-made with a gripping degree of both realism and tension and a strong leading performance. So cut the political BS.

He is very pro-Iranian. But anti-Iranian government.
