People don't like crazy, they like eccentric, and Steve Zahn's bipolar, though a strong representation of a functional person with bipolar, goes off the wall too much.

They're brilliant, the plot's are awesome, this would be my favorite show if they were more Franklin and Bash, Sherlock and Watson, Jane and Lisbon, Moretti and Pierce, where eccentricity fueled by cockiness is only slightly complicated by the character's personal issues.

Steve Zahn is too high pitched

My wife and I agree that part of the problem was we felt they were throwing too much at us at once.

Since this was a short season, keep it simple and focused on the jobs they would do.

Then, as a season finale cliffhanger, bring in Beth and Slater ' s involvement with her.

They didn't focus enough, in my opinion.

If you're referring to the character then use the character's name, not the actor's. Steve Zahn's not bipolar, as far as we know.
